Rob and Karen LaCroix of Mead, Neb., and Mark and Jean Kardell of Gretna, are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Chelsea Nichole LaCroix and Lucas Kardell.
The grandparents of the bride are Larry and Helen LaCroix of Mead, Verne Thomsen of Ames, Neb., and the late Sandra Thomsen. The grandparents of the groom are Robert and Darlene Kardell of Omaha, and Arnie and Darlene White of Spencer, Iowa.
The bride-to-be is a 2007 graduate of Mead High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, earning a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics. She is employed as a regional commitment manager with the Sweet Bran Division of Cargill in Blair.
The future groom is a 2006 Gretna High School graduate and is employed with Wiese Plumbing in Fremont.
The couple are planning an October 19, 2013, wedding at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Gretna.
