Douglas and Nancy Taylor of Omaha, and Timothy and Linda Edwards of Omaha, wish to joyfully announce the engagement of their children, Dr. Lauren Christine Mae Taylor and Dr. Ryan Timothy Edwards.
Lauren attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Oxford in England. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from UNL. She was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and was an active community volunteer. This spring, she graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine and will be moving to Ann Arbor for a residency program in psychiatry at the University of Michigan.
Her fiancé, Ryan, graduated with a B.S. in biology from Colorado Mesa University, where he also competed as a world-class cyclist. He then went on to earn an M.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine and is currently completing a residency in psychiatry at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He plans to pursue a career in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry.
The jubilant wedding will be held on May 25th of this year at the Magnolia Hotel. The couple will travel to Napa and Sonoma Valleys in California for a honeymoon, and will then move to their new home in Michigan.
