Timothy and Wenda Gilman of Council Bluffs would like to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Tracy Gilman, to Aaron Adams, son of Ralph and LeeAnn Adams of Humphrey, Neb.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Donald Porter, Phyllis Porter, and Richard and Joan Gilman. Tracy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in media communication from Bethel University. Tracy, who lost 84 pounds in 2012, is a territory manager for Weight Watchers North America, the company she said helped change her life.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Florene and the late Wendel Kass, and Dotty and the late Vincent Adams. Aaron graduated with a Bachelor of Science in architectural engineering from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is certified in CxAP, CBCP, CBSIT, GGP and LEEP AP and is employed as a senior commissioning engineer at Kiewit.
Aaron proposed to Tracy on August 30, 2013, on the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge at the Nebraska/Iowa state border. The couple plan a 5:30 p.m. wedding on August 23, 2014, at The Durham Museum in Omaha.
