Emily Balles and Brandon Herwick were married October 18th at the Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia, NY. The Honorable Charles M. Tailleur officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Maryanne and Daniel Balles of Endicott. The groom is the son of Denise and Charles Herwick of Greenville and Coxsackie.
The bride chose Amber Golden as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Marion Huntley, Louise Lectura, Natalie Misetich, Katie Sullivan, Kayla Mackey and Tess Herwick. The bridal attendants were Ella and Emi Herwick.
Best man was Tyler Herwick, brother of the groom. Ushers were Noah Balles, Chad Lectura, Sawyer Stippa, Keith Brozean and Jimmy Weiss. The ring bearer was Christian Lectura.
The ceremony was held outside the Glen Sanders Mansion and overlooked the Mohawk River. Though snow fell that morning, as the music started to play to welcome in the bridal party, the sun appeared from behind the clouds and the day brightened and warmed. Uncle of the bride Joseph Gyidik and cousin of the groom Trevor Cardwell delivered messages during the ceremony.
The reception was held at the Glen Sanders Mansion. The couple plans to travel to Disney's Hawaiian resort of Aulani for their honeymoon this summer. They live in Glenmont, NY.
The bride is a graduate of Seton Catholic Central and SUNY Cortland. She currently works as a Recreation Therapist.
The groom is a graduate of Coxsackie-Athens High School, Hudson Valley Community College, SUNY Cortland and the University of Alabama. He is a Physical Education Teacher in the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District.
