Fred and Elsie Anderson celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary June 9, 2012. They were married at the Ninth Street Church of the Brethren in Roanoke.

They celebrated the occasion with a Western Caribbean cruise in June. They were joined by their children, Wendy Bryant and Carol Anderson, and

granddaughter, Emma Bryant, all of Roanoke.

Fred retired from General Electric Co. in Salem and Elsie (Altice) was a homemaker most of her career. Wendy is a teacher for the Roanoke City Schools, Carol works at Goodwill and Emma is a fourth grader at Oak Grove School.
