Dana and Peggy Walker of Roanoke are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Owen Walker, to Bradley Steven Pinkerton, son of Jo Ann Pinkerton of Charlotte, N.C., and Reginal Pinkerton of Myrtle Beach, S.C. Emily is a 2006 graduate of Elon University and is the Assistant Director of the Queens Learning Institute at Queens University of Charlotte. Brad is a 2003 graduate of Elon University and is a Fantasy Editor for Sporting News in Charlotte. The couple will be married at an intimate family wedding on October 20, 2012, in Charlotte, N.C.
