Grubbs 50th Anniversary
Bill and Betty Grubbs are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married August 3, 1963 at the First Baptist Church of Avondale Estates, Georgia, with Reverend J. Truett Gannen officiating. They have enjoyed living on Wilmington Island for 45 years. They are members of Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church and have been blessed with wonderful family, friends and neighbors. Bill retired from the Carapace Corporation in 2007 and Betty from Candler Hospital in 2006.
In July, the family gathered in St Johns, FL at their son Mike's home with wife Jeni their children Katie, Jake, Luke and Dylan, daughter Beth Grubbs of Savannah and daughter Nancy Jacobsen, husband Chris and their children Cole and Brody of Anchorage, Kentucky for a brief celebration.
To honor the 50th, with close friends they are taking a boat and bike trip down the Danube River in Europe.
