Corbett-Rohrer Miss Whitney Catherine Corbett and Mr. Marc Evan Rohrer were united inmarriage on Saturday, April 26th, 2014 in an Episcopal service at The Church ofSt. Philip the Apostle in Occidental, California. The ceremony was officiated bythe Reverend Andy Lobban of Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, with scripturereadings by Sarah Helstrom and Scott Hill. Strings & harp by The San FranciscoTrio provided music for the ceremony followed by a candlelit dinner reception atThe Union Hotel with music by The San Francisco Jazz Band with Raquel.Abigail Chance Thomason, mother of the bride, was accompanied byher husband, Tom R. Sawyer, both of Lexington, Texas. Gardner Parkerof Houston, Texas attended with his wife, Mia Parker, and performed asMaster of Ceremonies for the toasts through the evening.The bride is the granddaughter of the late William Ewing Thomason & thelate Patience Chance Thomason of Bryan, Texas, and the great-granddaughterof District Judge R.E. Thomason of El Paso and of G. G. Chance of Bryan, Texas.Given in marriage by both her parents, the bride was escorted by her father,Gerald L. Corbett of Austin, Texas.The groom is the son of two Californians, Evan Gustav Rohrer of Bodega Bayand Alene Gonnella Rohrer of Coarsegold. He is the grandson of Rena MontafiGonnella of Occidental who was represented at the ceremony by Malcolm Tindall.Serving as the bride's maid of honor was sister Isabelle Sommerville Corbett ofWashington, D.C. The bridesmaids were Laura Amy Neuhaus and Annette RebeccaPomeroy Shores and junior bridesmaid, Katherine Frances Rohrer. Serving as bestman was Nelson Toney Sebra. The groomsmen were Mitchell Gustav Rohrer andJohn Franklin Cottom. Ushers included Jacob Rohrer, Ryan and Logan Schweizer.Heather McKinney of Austin, with her mother Nancy McKinney of Sherman, Texashosted the brunch on Sunday honoring the newlyweds.The bride graduated from Georgetown University in Washington D.C.with degrees in International Business and Italian. She studied Economicsat Università Bocconi, in Milan, Italy. Vice President in The AffluentCustomer Segment, Whitney has been withWells Fargo Bank since 2007.Marc attended California State University, Fresno prior to enjoyinga career as a professional soccer player in Germany. Marc has workedin Wealth Management since 2000 and serves as Vice President andFinancial Advisor for Wells Fargo Advisors. Marc spends his extra timemanaging professional soccer players internationally.Following their honeymoon in Banff Springs in Alberta, Canada, thecouple will continue to make San Francisco their home.
