Allison Renee Hunt and Phillip Morgan Garrett were married Saturday, September 21, 2013. The 6:30 evening ceremony was held at the home of Troy and Betty Thompson, uncle and aunt of the bride. Jeremy Swindle officiated the ceremony and a reception followed.
The bride is the daughter of Arlen and Amanda Hunt of West Chicago, Ill., and the granddaughter of Clara Mae Thompson and the late Billy Ray Thompson of Florence and William and Arlene Hunt of Crossville, Tenn. She graduated in May with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management and is employed as the maintenance manager at Hensley-Thompson Properties.
The groom is the son of Jeff and Pennye Garrett of Florence, and the grandson of Robert L. Godsey and the late Mildred Godsey of Killen and Larry and Gail Garrett of Cloverdale. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in History and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Education. He is employed as the office manager at Calloway Appraisal Services.
Matron of honor was Jennifer Wells of Murfreesboro, Tenn., cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Scarlett Thompson of Florence and Natalie Wells of Murfreesboro, Tenn., cousins of the bride; Jessica Swindle of Pensacola, Fla. and Jacoba Thompson of Florence, friends of the bride. Flower girls were Bonnie Thompson and Ava Claire Thompson of Florence, Lanie Wells of Murfreesboro, Tenn., cousins of the bride; Ava Claire Garrett of Florence, cousin of the groom.
Best man was the groom's father, Jeff Garrett of Florence. Groomsmen were Roger Garrett of Cloverdale, uncle of the groom; Richard Whiteside of Killen and Stephen Maxwell of Memphis, Tenn., friends of the groom; Daniel Garrett of Florence, brother of the groom. Ring bearer was Chase Wells of Murfreesboro, Tenn., cousin of the bride.
After a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, the couple will be residing in Florence.
