Jessica Michelle Orick and Joshua James Rogers have chosen November 2, 2013 for a small family wedding. The ceremony will be held at 3:30 in the afternoon at Annabella at Cedar Glen in Huntsville, Alabama with Daniel Sparks officiating and a reception will follow.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Michael and Susan Orick of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. She is the granddaughter of Kenneth and the late Willia Mae Orick of Muscle Shoals, Ala., the late Charles Henry and Virginia Gooch of Florence, Ala. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors. She is currently a fourth-year medical student at Lincoln Memorial University - DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tenn. and will graduate in May 2014 as a Doctor of Osteopathy.
The prospective groom is the son of Mark and Valerie Rogers of Bremen, Ohio and Maurice and Janet Fitz-Gerald of Birmingham, Alabama. He is the grandson of Jim and Barbara Rogers of Easton, Pennsylvania and James Shepherd, Sr. and the late Betty Shepherd of Jamestown, Tenn. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Anatomical Science at Lincoln Memorial University - DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) and will graduate in December 2013. He is also working in the Anatomy Department at LMU-DCOM teaching anatomy to medical, physician assistant and masters students and is conducting anatomical research. Prior to enrolling in the master's program, he served his country in the military and is currently an officer in the Army National Guard.
