Scarlett Michelle Singleton and John Kelly Nokes have chosen November 2, 2013 for their wedding. The ceremony will be held at 4:00 in the afternoon at Pennington United Methodist Church in Nashville, Tenn. with Brandon Porter of The People's Church in Spring Hill, Tenn. officiating. A reception will follow at The Listening Room Cafe in downtown Nashville.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Rick and Peggy Singleton of Florence. She is the granddaughter of Martha Putman of Florence, Idalene Singleton of Rogersville, the late Howard Stephens of Florence, the late A.L. "Junior" Singleton of Hartselle, and the late Gerald Putman of Florence.
Miss Singleton is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Harvard Law School with a Juris Doctorate degree. She is currently employed by the United States Department of Justice as an Assistant United States Attorney in Nashville, Tenn.
The prospective groom is the son of Donna Bryant of Shepherdsville, Ky. and Rusty Nokes of Beech Creek, Ky. He is the grandson of Edna Manning of Shepherdsville, Ky. and Raymond and Shirley Caudill of Louisville, Ky.
Mr. Nokes is employed by the United States Department of Justice as a Special Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Nashville, Tenn. Prior to working for ATF, he worked as a state trooper for the Kentucky State Police and served in the United States Marine Corps.
