Scarlett Michelle Singleton and John Kelly Nokes were married November 2, 2013 in a 4:00 afternoon ceremony held at Pennington United Methodist Church, Nashville, Tenn. with Brandon Porter of The People's Church in Spring Hill, Tenn., officiating. The reception followed at The Listening Room Cafe in downtown Nashville.
The bride is the daughter of Rick and Peggy Singleton of Florence. She is the granddaughter of Martha Putman of Florence, Idalene Singleton of Rogersville, the late Howard Stephens of Florence, the late A.L. "Junior" Singleton of Hartselle, and the late Gerald Putman of Florence.
The groom is the son of Donna Bryant of Shepherdsville, Ky. and Rusty Nokes of Beech Creek, Ky. He is the grandson of Edna Manning of Shepherdsville, Ky. and Raymond and Shirley Caudill of Louisville, Ky.
The bride wore her mother's dress, which was redesigned by Olga Lochbihler of Chic Heiress in Franklin, Tenn.
Matron of honor was Stephane Singleton Bolton, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amanda Mills Carmichael and Tyrenda Williams Reed of Birmingham; Jennifer Bailey Stokes of Spanish Fort, Ala.; and Michelle Katherine Parikh of Washington, D.C. All are friends of the bride.
Best Girls were the groom's daughters, Kelsey Nicole Nokes and Taylor Makenzie Nokes. Groomsmen were Cory Lee Nokes of Coxs Creek, Ky., Daniel Keith Nokes of Sneads Ferry, N.C., Joshua Wade Nokes of Central City, Ky., and Wesley Alan Nokes of Greenville, Ky., all brothers of the groom.
Wedding director was Mercedes Camacho. Floral designer was Tonia Wilhelm, and music was provided by Walker Hayes.
After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will be residing in Nashville, Tenn.
