Jennifer Carole Johnson and Clinton Dodson Cross exchanged vows, Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Carleen Bright Arboretum in Waco. The ceremony was officiated by a childhood friend of the bride, the Rev. Megan Ammann. To continue the celebration, the bride's parents hosted a dinner and dance at the Pavilion. They were honored with a rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding at La Fiesta, hosted by the groom's parents.
Jennifer is the daughter of Barry and Patti Johnson. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. J.T. Carpenter of Waco. Jennifer is a 2003 graduate of Waco High School. She graduated from Tarleton State University with her Bachelors in Agricultural Service and Development in 2009 and her Masters in Agricultural and Consumer Resources in 2011. She will teach her first year as the Ag Science Teacher at Dalhart High School and Dalhart Jr. High.
Clint is the son of Joe and Lori Cross of China Spring. He is employed by Winfield Solutions as the Warehouse Manager in Dalhart, Texas. He graduated from China Spring High School in 2003. Clint is a graduate of West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas where he received his Bachelor's Degree in 2008. He is also an active Phi Delta Theta Alumni.
The maid of honor was Ravon Morgan. Bridesmaids were Karen Petree, Sally Roscher, Alye Pryor, Kim Peters, and Amber Vincent. Junior bridesmaid was Emmy Grace McGlothlin, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Jolie Teresa Ming, also a cousin of the bride.
The best man was Derek Rebber. Groomsmen were Clayton Cross, Cameron Cross, J. Michael Johnson, Devon Hunt, and Riley Rector. The ring bearer was Ty David Morgan.
Jennifer and Clint met at Mountainview Elementary in the second grade and reconnected after their college years. Many of their friends in the wedding party were classmates at Mountainview with them, all remaining good friends over the years.
The couple will reside in Dumas, Texas after returning from their honeymoon to Waikki Beach in Hawaii.
