Dr. Francene Haliburton and Rev. Monty E. Francis, Sr. were united in marriage at 2 o'clock Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Clifton House in Waco. The Rev. William Pullam of Corpus Christi, Texas officiated. A reception followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Dunner (Bessie) hosted a fellowship dinner for members of both families on the eve of the wedding.
Dr. Francis is the daughter of Mrs. Delois Vonner Haliburton and Mr. and Mrs. William F. Haliburton of Waco. She has been an educator in Waco I.S.D. for 29 years. She earned a doctorate in educational leadership from Baylor University.
Rev. Francis is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Alvin Francis, Sr. of Corpus Christi. He is an administrator with the Dallas County Community College District. Before moving to the metroplex, Rev. Francis pastored in Waco for 24 years.
The bride was presented in marriage by her mother and father. The bride was escorted by her brother-in-law, Mr. Wesley Nute, Sr. and her father. Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Ms. Cheryl Haliburton. Pastor Lee A. Edwards was the best man. The bride's niece, Arrianna Rojas was the flower girl.
