Nadia Michelle Majed and Louie Jefferson Cook were united in marriage on July 27, 2013 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma with the Rev. Dick Read officiating. A reception followed in the main foyer of the church. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents.
The bride is the daughter of Alex and Angela Majed of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is the granddaughter of the Rev. Bud and Mrs. Joan Fisher of Tulsa, and Mrs. Emmie and the late Ali H. Majed of Beirut, Lebanon. She is a 2012 graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University. Nadia is currently employed with Waco Cardiology Associates.
The groom is the son of Jeff and Margot Cook of Woodway. He is the grandson of Mrs. Dolores Scherler and the late David Kent Scherler Sr., of Walters, Oklahoma and Mrs. Betty Cook and the late Dr. Hulen Cook of Wichita Falls. He is a 2013 graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and will be attending Baylor Law School in Waco. Louie is currently employed by the law firm of Meadows and Harris.
Maid of honor was Amanda Loewen. Bridesmaids were Kristen Stukey, Bonnie Kaefer, Kelsey Davis and Laura Chitwood. Flower girl was Krissalyn Bergeron.
Best man was brother of the groom, Peter Cook. Groomsmen were Alex Majed,, brother of the bride, Nathan Ellis of Sapulpa Oklahoma, Sam Whelan of Parachute, Colorado and Neal Ellis of Midlothian, Texas. Ring bearer was Jeremy Bergeron. Ushers were Jory Custar, Josiah Soap, Cordell Baker, Zach Medlin and Austin Germiller.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico and now reside in Waco.
