Naomi Louise Reust and Steven Dale Grice were united in marriage on June 15, 2013, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in China Spring with the Rev. Ricky Wooddall officiating. The reception was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hall in Waco.
The bride is the daughter of Raymond and Claudia Reust of Waco. She is a 1995 graduate of Oklahoma Wesleyan College with a B.S. in Business Administration; a 2006 graduate of McLennan Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing and a 2007 graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing. She is currently employed at Providence Wound Care Center as a registered nurse.
The groom is the son of Dan and Diane Grice, formerly of Hubbard, currently of China Spring. Steven graduated from Navarro College in 1991 with his L.V.N. degree and from McLennan Community College in 1995 with his Associate Degree in Nursing. Steven is employed at Caterpillar, Inc. as an Occupational Health Nurse.
Naomi's close friend, Michelle Troutt, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were other close friends and included, Teresa DeSopo, Michelle Lawless, Jerri Denson, Jesse Sanford and Bonnie Kurz-Mulikin.
Steven's best man was his brother, James Grice and groomsmen were Steven's close friends, including Brady Bratcher, Kevin Boswell, Jason Stone, Michael Mullikin and Douglas Stuckly, posthumously, who passed away on June 7, 2013. Special commemoration was given to Douglas, Steven's father, Dan Grice and the couples' grandparents who are all deceased; Louis and Naomi Reust of Emporia, Kansas; Rodrigo and Margarita Alonzo of Asa, Texas; Arthur Dale and Willene Grice of Hubbard, Texas and Don and Pauline Pollard of Austin, Texas.
Godparents (padrinos) of the wedding were Paul and Natalie Erchinger, cousins of the bride. Jada Edwards, the bride's cousin, was flower girl and Jackson Battles, the groom's nephew, was ring bearer. Ushers were Angelo Florez, cousin of the bride; and Micheal Hill, friend of the groom.
The couple took a short honeymoon at Hill Country Resort in The Texas Hill Country, overlooking Canyon Lake. They are planning a longer honeymoon in December in Hawaii during the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. The couple will reside in Waco.
