David and Megan (Wheeler) Haigood were married February 16, 2013, at Wormsloe Historic Plantation in Savannah, Georgia. The Rev. Steve Schultie, of Savannah, officiated the wedding ceremony. The reception was held in the Historic Savannah District at Brockington Hall, an 18th century Italianate villa-style mansion, where Paula Deen's Lady and Son's catered the dinner.
Megan's close friends, Patti Horton, Darien Stotts, Karly Blackson, and sister, Cassandra Wheeler, were bridesmaids. Her close friend, the late Lindsey Kohutek-Culver was her Maid of Honor.
David was attended by his brother, Mikey Haigood,, childhood friend, Samuel Kitchens, cousin Steven Harris, fellow Green Beret, Ian Kennedy, and best man was his brother, CJ Haigood.
Photographer Geoff Duncan, of Austin, covered the special evening.
The couple will honeymoon in Italy for two weeks before reporting to Germany for military service where they will reside for the next three years. Afterwards they hope to return back to Texas where they both call home.
