Jessica Diane Edwards and Cody Lane Barlow were united in marriage April 20, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Waco with the Rev. Stephen Ramsdell officiating. The reception was held at The Pavilion at Carleen Bright Arboretum in Woodway with music provided by the Nolan Pick Band. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom in the Whitehall Chapel of the Arboretum.
The bride is the daughter of Ron and Karen Edwards of Woodway and the granddaughter of Betty Smith and the late Donald Smith of Woodway and the late Barney Edwards and Lorraine Layne of Houston. Jessica attended Midway High School and Baylor University. She is currently employed as a teacher at China Spring Elementary.
The groom is the son of Rick and Lisa Barlow of China Spring and the grandson of Charley Barlow of Hewitt and the late Martha Barlow and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Ward of Andrews. Cody attended China Spring High School and Tarleton State University. He is currently employed by Barlow Tank of China Spring.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by maid of honor Ashley Gerdes of China Spring. Bridesmaids were Brittni Summers of Riesel, Jessica Neilson and Jennifer Ray of Hewitt, Melanie Stansel of Miami, and Samantha Armstrong of Montgomery.
The best man was the groom's brother, Ricky Barlow of China Spring. Groomsmen were Jeremiah Chapman of Roanoke, Wes Burden and Barry Mitchell of Clifton, Justin Smith of Midland, and Jordan Patterson of Stephenville.
Junior attendants were twins Amanda and Katie Simpson of Australia, flower girl Mollee Summers of Riesel, and ring bearer Boston Barlow of China Spring. Ushers were Chad Benson, Lance Luedeker, Jeffrey Edwards, and Michael Edwards, with Renee Armstrong, Kristi Barlow, Lena Edwards, and Kaylan Rickman serving as house party.
Ceremony music was provided by organist Susan Ramsdell.
The couple spent their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic and will reside in Crawford.
