Ferguson Nelson (Skip) and Donna Ferguson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 31, 2013. The couple met while attending North Hunterdon Regional High School, Clinton, N.J. They were married in 1963 by the late Rev. Thomas Thorne at the First Presbyterian Church, Clinton, N.J. Skip is the son of the late Bernard and Ruth Ferguson. He retired from the Department of Revenue, Commonwealth of PA as a corporate tax auditor. Donna is the daughter of the late Kenneth and Elsa Fowler. She is a retired teacher, who taught at Lincoln Intermediate Unit and Central York School District. Donna is the author/illustrator of the children's book "Rail Trail Kitten." The couple have two children. Lisa and partner, Lloyd Minerich of Burke, Va., and Jeffrey and wife, Meera of London, England; one granddaughter, Yulia and husband, Ali Davlatov of Clarksburg, Md.; and three great-granddaughters, Alexa, Laila, and Amina Davlatov. Skip and Donna enjoy traveling, especially trips to Europe, New Zealand, Costa Rica, and England. To celebrate their anniversary, daughter Lisa has planned a family week at Donna and Skip's favorite vacation location, Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., in September.
