John J. Dreznes, founder and co-owner of Beverly Records & Costumes. Beloved husband of 62 years to the late Christine E., nee Pilkis; loving father of Jacqueline Rickman, Jack (Dolores), Michael (Margaret) and Randy (Loretta) Dreznes; dear grandfather of 15; and preceded in death by his grandchild Jolie Rickman; cherished great-grandfather of three; fond brother of Lucille Svihla and the late George Dreznes and Mary Kazeneskie. Visitation Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, 9:15 a.m., from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st St., Orland Park, to St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Mass 10 a.m. Interment St. Casimir Cemetery. 708-857-7878

I'M DEEPLY SADDENED TO FIND ABOUT THE PASSING OF MR.DREZNES,AND MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO THE FAMILY.I TOO KNOW THE FEELING OF LOSING BOTH PARENTS IN A SHORT TIME SPAN.MY MOM AND DAD PASSED SEVEN MONTHS APART.I TRULY BELIEVE THAT WHEN SOULMATES ARE SEPARATED BY DEATH IT'S EXTREMELY DEVASTATING TO THE SURVIVING HALF LEFT AND THEY TOO PASS OF A "BROKEN HEART".I BELIEVE MY PARENTS ARE TOGETHER ONCE AGAIN WHERE THE PERILS OF THIS CRUEL WORLD CAN NO LONGER DISTRESS THEM AND THEIR SOULS CAN REST IN PEACE. MR. AND MRS.DREZNES ARE THERE ALSO SMILING DOWN ON ALL OF US.MAY YOUR DAYS BE BRIGHTER AND THE PAIN OF YOUR LOSS EASE DAY BY DAY. BASK IN THE WARMTH OF KNOWING YOUR LOVED ONES LOVED YOU, JUST AS WE KNOW OURS LOVED US. ALWAYS KEEP THE GOOD MEMORIES CLOSE IN YOUR HEARTS. I will always remember feeling so honored when Christine and Johnny came to our wedding in Hampton,Va. What a great pair they were !They don't make them like that anymore!! Dear Jack, Randy, and family,
I am again, so very sorry; this time to learn about the loss of your dad. I said this about your mom earlier this year when she passed away, and this same sentiment applies to your father as well: if it weren't for him starting this great record store, my Christmas album collection wouldn't be what it is today. And since Christmas music is the great joy and passion of my life, I owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude. Thanks Mr. Dee!!

Our condolences to all of the Dreznes Family. I can remember several times dropping by United to visit my mom and he was always very cheerful and up beat. Boy those were the days! He is now with his "Mrs" and am sure is content and happy. Altho he is gone on earth, there is a party going on in heaven. Rest in peace.
