Donald A. Cannella Sr.; beloved husband and best friend of Jeanette, nee Baldino for over 53 years; loving father of Robert and the late Donald A. II (Karen); proud grandfather of Megan and Nicholas; dear brother of the late Sam, George (the late Angela) and Leonard (Mary) and brother-in-law of Louis (the late Rose) Baldino and Joe (the late Marie) Incandela; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday, 8 a.m. until time of funeral, 10:15 a.m., at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Rd. (1/2 mile North of Saint Charles Rd.), Elmhurst. I am so saddened by the passing of Mr. Cannella. I will remember you all the days of my life. My prayers will be Mrs. Cannella and the entire family throughout the days and months ahead.

I have known Mr. Cannella all my life. Everytime I saw him he asked "Hey kid wadda ya know?" and then take the time to listen to what I had to say. As I grew up, got married, and had kids, he was always there for my family and I. Mr. Cannella always had a joke or story to tell and could light up a room with his presence.
Mr. and Mrs. Cannella are more than friends, they are family.
Mr. Cannella you will be sorely missed, but you will never be forgotten.
