Katherine Marquez, nee Polites, age 87, passed away May 3, 2011, in Des Plaines. Beloved wife of the late Ralph for 59 years; loving mother of Ernest (Jody), Raymond J. (Ruth), and Irene Marquez (Joseph O'Brien); dearest sister to her late brothers Theodore, James and Peter Polites; cherished grandmother of Timothy J., Anne- Marie, Susan, Jessica Marquez (Ryan Murphy), Laura, Christopher and great-grandmother of Frank R. Murphy; dear aunt of Paula, Stephanie, Jackie, Joanne and Mary Lou. Katherine was a member of the Spanish Club at the Heritage in Des Plaines. Visitation Saturday, May 7, 2011, memorialization 5 p.m. at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave. Des Plaines. Interment Private.
