Elizabeth Jeanette Hunt

Elizabeth Jeanette (Jean) Hunt, nee Olcott, age 78, of Addison, IL, died at home on May 12, 2011, after the sudden onset of cancer, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 23, 1932, to R.J. and Elizabeth Olcott in Avon Township, Lake County, IL. She graduated from Waukegan Township High School and attended college in Normal, IL. She was an avid bowler, bowling with several leagues almost to the end. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking with her own vegetables and herbs. Jean and her husband, John, retired from the US Navy, traveled extensively with their daughters in the U.S. and other countries during his years in the Navy. Jean was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Addison VFW. Jean is survived by her husband of 53 years, John J. Hunt; and two daughters, Dr. Karen J. Hunt and her husband, Dr. Mike McNutt, and Laura Lani Siebert and her three sons, Buzz, Will, and Kyle and his wife, Maya. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Jacobson, of Oregon; and cousins in Wisconsin, California, and Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Louis Ferrill. Visitation Sunday 6 to 9 p.m. at Cypress Funeral Home, 1698 N. Bloomingdale Road, (between Army Trail Rd. and North Ave.), Glendale Heights. Prayers Monday, 9:15 a.m. to St. Philip the Apostle Church.
