LEONARD SHELSTROM Obituary
Leonard Arthur Shelstrom, 92, beloved husband of the late Dorothy; devoted father of Robert L. (Veronica) Shelstrom; loving grandfather of Tiffany, Tina and Jeffrey Shelstrom. In WWII he served in the eighth Air Force on missions over France and Germany. Visitation at the Schmaedeke Funeral Home, 10701 Harlem Ave., Worth, Saturday, June 11, 2011, from 11 a.m. till time of chapel prayer at 11:30 a.m. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148. 708-448-6000

I knew Mr. Shelstrom from the trips and the senior club at the Worth Park District. I am very sad to hear of his passing. He was a staple at our events and programs, and always had a kind word to say when I saw him. He will be greatly missed. A true hero.
