I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Lori. I loved her and she was an old very dear friend of mine who I will miss. R.I.P. Lori

For the last two days, a mutual friend had been trying to get ahold of me to tell me of Lori's passing. I am dumbfounded as I thought Lori was one woman who would go on forever. She was a whirlwind of good energy and I was blessed to have been taken under her wing many years ago. We have always exchanged Christmas cards, rather , I went out especially each year to find the perfect Hanukkah card for her. I moved to New Mexico in 1995 and was thrilled when Lori called to say she was coming with a meeting planning group shortly thereafter to see the area. We spent a couple of great days together and when I returned to Chicago, Lori opened her home to me. Lori threw some awesome parties back in the day and I'll never forget how I considered one of them my "coming out" party. It never happened before, nor will it ever happen again, but I left that party with four different fellows asking me out on a date. Lori will always stay in the hearts and minds of all those who knew her. Bless you, my friend.

Lori was one of the first friends I made after I married Dave and moved to Chicago. She was always so kind and friendly, always there with a smile and asking how my mom was after Mom became ill. I will surely miss her in our building and in the neighborhood.
Our thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort are with her family and friends.

I am shocked to learn of Lori's passing having known her and worked with her for many years after meeting through a mutual friend. Always high energy and vivacious, hard working and truly independent, I have always had the highest respect and regard for her. My best wishes to her family and friends and sincere condolences. I have known Lori since I first became a part of the family 37 years ago. She was at my wedding reception in Novi, Michigan in 1976. My husband Bob was Lori's cousin. She and I have been exchanging holiday cards every December for at least 25 years. Without fail, her card was always one of the first I would receive each year. I am so shocked and dismayed to hear of her passing. The holidays will not be the same for me without her beautiful card and note inside. Dale Silberblatt
