Nora M. (Costantini) Barge, 89, a life resident of Pittston Township, entered eternal rest Friday, July 29, 2016, surrounded by her loving children at her home. Her husband of 54 years, Rocco F. Barge, passed away Dec. 16, 2004.
Born in Pittston Township on Jan. 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Ferretti) Costantini. Nora graduated from Pittston Township High School and the Pittston Hospital School of Nursing Cadet Corps, Pittston.
Nora dedicated her life to others as evidenced by her 50-plus years as a registered nurse with a career spanning Pittston Hospital, NPW Hospital and Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Plains Township, where she retired in 1997.
Nora was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.
She was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston, her entire life.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Costantini, and infant brother, Dante.
Surviving are her eight children, Garrick and his wife, Charlene, Pittston; Kenrick, Newburgh, N.Y.; Christopher and his wife, Lisa, Pittston Township; Rocco F. Jr, Pittston Township; Randall and his wife, Richele, Elmwood Park, N.J.; Kammy and her husband, Gary Moore, Sarasota, Fla.; Noreen and her husband, Ray Darbenzio, Ewing, N.J.; and Marissa and her husband, James Costanzo, Pittston Township; grandchildren, Michele Tilyou, Lauren Ginocchetti, Caleb, Susannah, Samuel, Timothy and Rose Barge, Anthony and Christopher Barge, Rocco F. Barge III, Bria Moore and Brooke Costanzo; great-grandchildren, Bella Tilyou, Jade and Nayomi Green, Avieri, Rocco IV and Aunali Barge and Vincent Ginocchetti; sister, Regina Karpien, Rochester, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Betty Montione, Pittston; brother-in-law, Michael Barge, New York; numerous nieces and nephews; and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St., Pittston.
Interment will be held in St. Rocco Cemetery, Oak Street, Pittston Township.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Your mother was the cutest, little head nurse with a big heart who truly cared about her patients. I worked with her at Pittston & GWV hospitals were she cared for my mother in 1984. They enjoyed talking about their children & Nora was a sweetheart when my mother passed. My sincere sympathy to her family.
