Mary Jo Paciga, 83, of Plains Township, passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 27, 2016, at Timber Ridge Health Care Center, Plains.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Josephine (Serafin) Dobinski.
She was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, and was employed as a sales associate by Kauffer Bros., Plains Township, for many years and also in the garment industry until her retirement. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains Township.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bernard F. Paciga, on Nov. 9, 2004.
Surviving are her children, Ann Paciga, Wilkes-Barre, Thomas Paciga and his wife, Melissa, Nicholson and Michael Paciga and his wife, Sarah, Westerly, Rhode Island; and grandchildren Julia, Helena, Nathan and Jacob Paciga.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Township, with the Rev. John C. Lambert, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday.
Memorial donations may be made to Saints Peter & Paul Church in Mary Jo's memory.
