Beverly A. Driscoll, 74, of South Main Street, Hanover Township, died unexpectedly at her home Monday, Sept. 26, 2016.
She was born in Nanticoke on Jan. 5, 1942, the daughter of the late George and Loretta (Tudgay) Pryce. She attended Hanover area schools and was employed as a dietary aide by the former Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, until her retirement in 2002. She also attended cosmetology school.
She was a member of Welsh Presbyterian Church, Warrior Run.
Beverly will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put her family first. Together with her husband, Jerry, they raised their children and helped with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she will be sadly missed by all of them.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 39 years, Gerald "Nip" Driscoll, on May 24, 2013, and brothers, Donald and Thomas Pryce.
Surviving are her son, Mark Driscoll and his wife, Julie, Hanover Township; daughter, Heather Shamaski and her husband, Kyle, Warrior Run; four grandchildren, Matthew, Holly, Michael and Heidi; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Bert Pryce and his wife, Linda, Hunlock Creek; and George Pryce and his wife, Connie, Daytona Beach, Fla.; and sisters-in-law, Patricia Truszkowski, Mountain Top; and Mary Brodhead, Hanover Township. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., Glen Lyon, with the Rev. Robert Thomas, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
