Joe was not only a great guy who I came to know along with the whole Perugino family-- who welcomed me into their house on numerous accessions while I worked at Pocono Drag Lodge--but also, Joe opened my eyes to the world of opportunity in front of me. I remember Joe with great fondness and mourn his passing but choose also to celebrate his life and contributions.
There are a great many of us who learned a lot there and went on to success in drag racing and other areas of life-- due to the opportunities to watch and learn from Joe and his family over the years we spent with them at Pocono Drag Lodge. We will remember Joe always and extend our warmest sympathies to the family in their time of loss.
