Geraldine "Gerry" Smith, 92, of Kunkle, passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Kunkle, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Gertie (Casterline) Smith. She was educated in the Dallas Township schools.
For most of her life she cleaned homes for many families in the surrounding area.
She was a member of the Kunkle United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her sisters, Leona Jones, Helen Boston and Ida Thornton; brothers, Frank and Harry Smith; and nieces and nephews June Tregan, David Jones, Mabel Casterline and Bill Thornton.
Surviving are her nieces, Esther Sutton, Bonnie Patton and Sue Rosser; nephews, Daniel and Jay Thornton; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nulton-Kopcza Funeral Home, 5749 state Route 309, Beaumont, Monroe Township, with her nephew, Jay Thornton, officiating.
Interment will follow at Memorial Shrine Park, East Eighth Street, Carverton.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial donations may be made to Kunkle United Methodist Church, 177 Old Highway, Dallas, PA 18612, and the Kunkle Fire Department, Route 309 and Kunkle Road, Dallas, PA 18612.

Gerry was such a wonderful lady. quiet and gentle. I am thankful for her warm smile and kind manor.
