Irene Coburn, 91, of Regent Street, Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Albert and Hazle Smith Rinehimer. She was married to the late William Coburn.
Irene graduated from Meyers High School, Class of 1943, and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
She was formerly employed by the Boston Store and Bergman's Department Store, Wilkes-Barre.
Irene was a former member of the Wyoming Valley Country Club. She was a longstanding member of Firwood United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She is survived by a son, Robert Coburn, Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Barbara Davis and her husband, Tom, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Craig and Matthew Coburn, Emily Shields, Jacquie Rode and Tom and Jeffrey Davis; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Coburn; sister, Jean Lowery; brothers, Lewis and Dale Rinehimer; and daughter-in-law, Elaine Coburn.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 18 in Firwood United Methodist Church, 399 Old River Road, Wilkes-Barre, with interment in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Firwood United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are by Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre.

Sorry Barb and Rob, Never easy loosing a parent.. I lost my Dad same time of year, but now he is my Christmas angel. I always loved shopping with Mom. We used to kid about being Irene's.
