Jonel Hardy, 50, of Old Pittston Boulevard, Bear Creek Township, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
Born in Kingston she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Anna Mae Thomas Shatrowsky. Jonel lived in Plains Township and graduated from Coughlin High School and attended King's College. She was employed by Wilkes-Barre Area School District.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Joseph Shatrowsky; nephew, Mark Balestrini.
Surviving are her husband, Donald Hardy, sons, Tyler Hardy, Wyatt Hardy; sister, Josette Balestrini, Plains Township; aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral will be held at time to be announced on Monday from the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township. Committal Service will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Relatives and friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
