Dorothy Jones Obituary

Dorothy Ruth Jones (Grablutz), 89, of Kingston, died peacefully, Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, after a two-year stay at The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas.

She was born April 26, 1927 in Kingston, the youngest child of Frank and Ruth (Coolbaugh) Grablutz. She was a mother to six children, 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was widowed at age 47 by the death of her husband, Dennis Jones. Later, she married Matthew Super, who was also preceded her in death in 2006.

In addition to her husbands and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings, Francis Grablutz, Rose Weisenbacher, Irene Eckert and Elwood Newberry.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Sharon Koons and her husband, Robert, Plano, Texas; Nancy Jones and her husband, Richard, Marriottsville, Md.; Denise Cardell and her husband, Michael, Shavertown;, Darleen Tomayko and her, husband William, Supply, NC; David Jones and his wife, Lucena, Mountain Top; and Donna Matcho, Dallas. Grandchildren, Rob Koons and wife, Bernetta; Jason Koons and wife, Monica; Valeri Calkins and husband, Todd; Jeffry Spinicci; Rebecca O'Keefe and husband, Michael; Keri Aman and husband, Michael; Eric Jones and wife, Kristen; Kevin and Sarah Tomayko; Jenna Blackwell and husband, Reginald; Joshua and Bethanie Jones; David, Andrew and Nicolas Matcho. Great-grandchildren, Jacob and Zachary Calkins, Ethan, Cooper and Mia Koons, Isabelle, Marek, Elle, Calleigh, Matthew and Connor Koons. Blake and Connor O'Keefe. Finley, Sawyer and Holden Jones. Lukas and Norah Aman.

Dorothy volunteered at the DAV and spent many summer months at the Super cabin at Lake Makoma, Sullivan County. Dorothy's love for her children and grandchildren will be missed greatly.

The family wishes to thank the second floor staff at The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas, for their kindness, care and compassion shown to our mom during her stay.

Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at Nulton-Kopcza Funeral Home, 5749 state Route 309 (Beaumont), Monroe Township, with the Rev. Dick Williams, pastor of the Trucksville United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Meadows Auxillary at the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 4 E. Center Hill Road, Dallas, PA 18612.

Sincerest and deepest condolences to the entire family and all her friends! It has been a few years since I have seen her but I always remember her being very friendly and uplifting! Always had a smile and I could just tell be the way she was treated by all that she was a very loved and respected lady by all! Very sorry for everyone's loss, specially Aunt Nancy!
