Ann F. Keiper of Hanover Township, formerly of Kingston and Alden, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 15, 2017, after a brief illness at Little Flower Manor where she had been a guest for seven days.
Born in Kingston on Nov. 19, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frank Emanski and Anna Emanski Gibbon. In 2016, she was honored with a celebration of her 95th birthday at Fire and Ice on Toby Creek, Trucksville.
She was a member of St. Faustina Parish, South Hanover Street, Nanticoke.
She worked as a cook at Kearney's Restaurant, Edwardsville, until the Agnes Flood of 1972, and was later employed by Krispy Kreme Donuts and Orloski Convenience Stores.
Ann was the last surviving member of her family, having been preceded in death by her brother, Theodore Emanski, and sisters, Marie Galinus, Helen Honan, Catherine Kearney and Jean Saksa.
Surviving are her daughter, Janice Baran and her husband, Richard, Hanover Township, with whom she resided for 35 years; numerous nieces and nephews, including John and Catherine Galinus, who never failed to remember their Aunt Ann.
Ann was an avid bingo player who not only enjoyed the game but also the many friendships she formed there throughout the years.
She will be dearly missed.
Upon Ann's request, private funeral services with a Mass of Christian Burial were held at the convenience of the family. Entombment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
