Darlene J. Cirko, 62, of Bald Mountain Road, Bear Creek Township, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Catherine Herbert.
Darlene was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Class of 1972.
Darlene was a member of Miner Congregational Church of Miners Mills and was a previous member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ of Wilkes-Barre, where she was a deacon and Sunday school teacher. Darlene was also a member of the Tequila Rose chapter of the Red Hat Society and a member of the Miners Mills Senior Club.
She was employed by the Kimble department of Owens Illinois and Wachovia Arena.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Masi; brothers, Joseph, Robert, Edward and John Herbert; sister-in-law, Betty J; nephews, Duane and Michael; great-nephews, Gary A. Jones and James Herbert; and brother-in-law, the Rev. Gary Jones.
Surviving are her husband, Alan Cirko; daughter, Annette Masi; granddaughter, Alyssa Jade; brother, Francis Herbert, Wilkes-Barre; sisters, Catherine Jones, West Wyoming; and Elizabeth Betty Herbert, Bear Creek; sisters-in-law, Joan, Rose and Florence Herbert; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township, with the Rev. Joan Mitchell officiating.
Internment will be held in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

I am still in shock and so very sorry for your loss. I have lots of great memories working with Darlene at Owens Illinois, and her being a bridesmaid in my wedding. She was a beautiful person inside and out and I will truly miss her. May the comfort of God help you during this difficult time.
