I just found out of Agnes's passing. I was her Social Worker turned friend, and I will miss her very much! Agnes was such a remarkable woman who inspired me a lot throughout my years. I met her when I was 24, and despite our huge age difference we quickly became great friends. We shared many stories over the years and I loved hearing her stories of growing up back in the days! She taught me a lot! She was an amazing cook too! She loved her time in kitchen! And I equally loved that smell of onions and garlic pouring down the halls of Bnai Brith! That smell always reminded me of a visit to my own polish grandma's house. She was so proud of her big family and all the grandkids and of course all those nieces and nephews in Iowa! She loved showing me all her family pictures!
To her entire family, if you see this...my deepest condolences to you. She was an incredible woman! Unfortunately I did not know of her passing until today so I missed her funeral. Agnes will always be in my heart as one of my best friends and I will never forget her!
