Blanche P. Swartz, 83, of Luzerne, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at The Garden at East Mountain, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Clarence, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Mihalik Kobularcik. She was a graduate of Snow Shoe High School, prior to her retirement, she was employed at Heritage House in Wilkes-Barre, as a resident assistant. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne. Blanche loved spending time with her family, friends, neighbors and especially her kitty, Buddy, who preceded her in death.
She was preceded in death my brothers, Frank and Joseph Kobularcik and sister, Veronica Smatana.
Surviving is her husband of 62 years Robert C. Swartz; children, Linda (Tina) Ziegenfus and husband, Gary, Luzerne; Nadian Swartz, Luzerne; Robert K. Swartz and wife Barbara, Dallas; David Swartz and wife Melissa, Avoca; grandchildren, Kelly Brown, Beth Ziegenfus, Megan Ziegenfus, Jennifer Stokes, Holly Swartz, Robert E. Swartz, Sara Swartz; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Carson Brown, Ryan Stokes; sisters, Marion Kossick, Washington State; Janie Felosky, New York State; Rosalie Zekus, Luzerne; brother, Robert Kobularcik, Clarence; numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, with the Rev. Joseph Elston officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made the St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen, 39 E. Jackson St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701. To leave a message of condolence for her family, please visit www.betzjastremski.com. Family and friends can call at the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
