Debra "Debby" Demich, 41, of Duryea, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 23, 2017, at her home.
She was born in Avoca on Nov. 21, 1975, and was the daughter of the late Matthew "Butch" Demich and Catherine "Kay" Faulkner Demich.
Debbie was a 1994 graduate of Pittston Area High School. She was a former employee of Wesley Village and Interim Home Health, where she took great pride in working and caring for the needs of patients. She had a lot of close friends who were like family to her, and always valued those friendships.
Surviving are her best friend and son, Tyler Matthew Demich, a student at King's College who was her world and who will miss her dearly, and Tyler's longtime girlfriend, Whitney Prescott, who is part of the family. Also surviving are two sisters, Donna and her husband, Steve Dunn, Pittston; and Lisa and her husband, David Derenick, Spring Brook; five nieces and nephews, Mindy and her husband, Kenny Nestorick, Stephen and Angie Dunn and Matt and David Derenick; great-nieces and great-nephews, Haylee, Alexis and Boe Dunn and Heather Nestorick; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Debra's family would like to thank extended family and friends who have shown their kindness and support at this difficult time.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
