Ruth T. (Schultz) Ercolani, 83, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
Ruth was born in New York, N.Y., in 1933, to William and Ruth Ulch Schultz. After moving to Pennsylvania, she worked at Penn State Belt & Buckle Co., where she met the love of her life, Rinaldo Ercolani. She and Rinaldo were married in 1957 and would be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary June 1.
Her family is left with so many wonderful memories. She loved to crochet and was always up for a game of cards. She hated leaving the house without her hair done. She took "Did you Boscov's today?" literally, and she ended every phone conversation with her grandchildren with "Be a good girl!" or "Be a good boy!"
Ruth was den mother to many kids in East End's Troop 93. She was an active member of the East End Women's Group and the Red Hats, and she was a dedicated member of Holy Saviour Church for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Joseph.
She is survived by her husband, Rinaldo; her beautiful children, Rick and Sandy Ercolani, Rosemarie and Donald Belles, Robert and Lorri Ercolani, Ruthann and David Voitek, Raymond and Ellen Ercolani and Carrie Ercolani and fiancé, Sean Elias; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, William (Gail) Schultz.
The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Andre Bessette Parish, 668 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

In deepest sympathy. What a beautiful family Mrs Ercolani helped to give to East End and to this world. It was always so nice to see her around HS. She and Mr Ercolani always had a smile on their faces and something kind to say to us as kids. May God bless the entire family

Rinaldo and family: On behalf of the Big Band Society of NEPA I send our sincere condolences for the losses of your lovely wife Ruth. I remember our conversation at a Big Band dance when you told me how you met Ruth at the Belt Buckle factory. Funny how you knew when you first saw her you wanted to marry this lovely woman. Now after almost 60 years of a beautiful life together the good lord has seen fit to bring her home. The sadness you and your family feel now I hope changes to fond memories of a good life together and how she contributed to her community, your children and grandchildren. Nicholas Stroumtsos President, Big Band NEPA
