George Endler, 90, a life resident of Wilkes-Barre, died Monday, May 22, 2017, at his home.
Born Nov. 8, 1926, he was a son of the late Philip and Johanna Bergstrasser Endler. George attended city schools.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, he served for more than four years and attained the rank of dorporal.
George retired after working many years at Little Flower Manor.
George was a member of the Parish of St. Nicholas throughout his life.
His wife, Josephine Blaine Endler, died Dec. 2, 2005. His brothers, John Endler Sr. and Robert Endler, also preceded him in death. Surviving are a niece and nephews.
A celebration of George's life will begin Thursday, with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at McLaughlin's, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, and continue with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in the Church of St. Nicholas. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
