Robert W. Wech, 90, of Mountain Top, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Spring Arbor Assisted Living Center in Richmond, Va.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Harry and Charlotte Vogel Wech.
Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Bob retired as a supervisor for PG&W. He was a former member of the Wright Twp. Zoning Board and a former board member of the PG&W Credit Union.
Bob enjoyed many things and he accomplished much during his life but his main passion was farming, and he always thought of himself as a farmer.
Bob was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his wife, Jane, who passed in 2006; and his daughter, Cathie Mahon.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Susan Jones and her husband, Emmett, Glen Allen, Va.; granddaughter, Sarah Blandy and her husband, Bill, South Carolina; grandsons, John Mahon, Delaware; and Robert Mahon, Mountain Top; and his nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held for Bob at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Albert Cemetery, Mountain Top. McCune Funeral Home is assisting the family.

So sorry to read about Bob. He was a fine person and a gentleman. We have many fond memories of Bob at PG&W and the credit union.

Susan, Emmett, Sarah, John, and Robbie, we are so very sorry for the passing of Bob. He was an extrodinary man, whom we have had the pleasure of knowing for the past 35 years. Our love and prayers are with you. Good bye Wech.
