Bill took the drastic changes in his life over the past few months with a smile and a "thumbs up" and I believe that is largely because of his unwavering faith in God as well as his ability to see beyond the confines of this life to where he would spend eternity. Every time he was told how good he looked he gave the credit to the excellent care he was receiving at Hampton House - he loved the RNs, aides and the rest of the staff, his roommate and the food. He never complained to us, not once.
So thank you my brother-in-law for you and Bev sharing your vacations at Myrtle Beach and Beech Mountain Lakes with us and sharing your home during many Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays as well as for PSU tv games. Last but not least for your delicious chicken on the grill when we used to have cookouts and the scrumptious barbecue ribs you made on demand. We will miss you but we know our separation is only temporary. As Henry Scott Holland said,"Just as someone at my side says, "He is gone." Other voices are taking up the glad shout, "Here he comes!"
Until we meet again, Bill, rest in peace.
Love,
Your sister-in-law Cathy Jackson
