Robert L. Neuman, 65, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023.
He was born July 18, 1957, in Wilkes-Barre, to the late Louis and Helen Pauster Neuman.
Bob graduated from GAR Memorial High School in 1975, then went on to attend Wilkes University, where he obtained his B.S. in accounting in 1979 and his M.B.A. in 1982. Throughout his life he worked in accounting. He started as an income tax preparer and worked his way up to senior accountant. For a period of time he was self-employed and most recently he was employed at Luzerne Optical. Bob was a member of the American institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He was an active member of St. Nicholas Church and he would assist with their annual bazaars. Bob also enjoyed computers, music and sports. When visiting his brother in Florida, Bob would enjoy partaking in outdoor activities, such as fishing and being by the water with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Kosberg.
He is survived by his long-time companion, Florence Mokris; a brother, Louis Neuman, wife, Josefina, Tallahassee, Fla.; a sister, Helen Neuman, Santa Rosa, Calif.; and several nieces.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church. Entombment will be in Mary Mother of God Mausoleum at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
