Paul Hill Obituary
Hill was born in Grenada County in 1922. He had been a 2 year resident at Trace Point in Clinton. Prior, Mr. Hill had been a 50 year resident of Jackson where he was a long time member and deacon of Flag Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Hill retired from the United States Postal Service and the United States Military. He was a WWII Veteran and served his country for 23 years as a Navy Baker and continued his service with the Mississippi Army National Guard until his retirement in 1982. He was the recipient of the Mississippi Commendation Medal in 1975 and the Mississippi Magnolia Medal in 1982.
He is proceeded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary B. Hill, 2 Granddaughters, Brandy and Mindy Hill and 2 great grandchildren, Madison Hill and Payton Bradshaw.
Survivors include two sons, John Hill and wife Sue of Meridian and Robert Hill of Pearl; two daughters, Jeanette Bradshaw and husband Ray of Richland, and Dovie Nelson and husband Joey of Brandon; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson. Visitation is 10 a.m. today with service to follow at 11 a.m. today at Flag Chapel Baptist Church in Jackson.

I have great memories of visiting -- and dining -- with Paul and Mary years ago while also visiting Betty in Jackson. My prayers and thoughts are with all family members and friends.

I have fond memories of visiting with your family many years ago when Mr. Paul and my dad James T Johnson worked together at the Post Office and were in the national guard together. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I loved my Mr. Hill. He was such a sweet and loving man. He was one of the best cooks ever. Oh the memerioes I have of this wonderful man. He always made me feel special. I know that Mr. Hill's death is a hugh loss in everyone hearts. Please let me know if I can do anything.

Mr. Hill,
