To the Family--Aunt Frankie was one of our favorite aunts. I remember the many years of looking forward to coming to Chicago for visits almost every year. It was always exciting to see the "two" math wiz folk(my Dad and Aunt Frankie) try to outwit each other! Our prayers and thoughts are with you. It was good to see all of you.

A Time to Learn and Create
Frankie, a mathematics teacher, graduated from Jackson College in 1934. She was crowned Ms. Jackson College (1932-33). She went on to get a Master of Science in Mathematics at Atlanta University in 1936.
A Time to Love
She married the late Edward Dunklin in 1941. On August 15, 1949, she was united in holy matrimony to Willie B. Varnado. Together they provided a Christian home and raised three children. Her love and devotion to her family are a profound part of her legacy.
A Time to be Saved
Frankie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church. After moving to Chicago, she joined the Liberty Baptist Church and was a member of the Scholarship Committee. In 1940 she moved to Chicago and worked as an employment counselor for the State of Illinois, Unemployment Compensation Department. From 1950-1956, she took a break from work to tend to the care of her children. She taught in the Chicago Public Schools from 1956 until she returned to Mississippi after retiring in 1973.
A Time to Die
