Scott Sievers Obituary

Scott Sievers Sept. 7, 1968 - Dec. 31, 2006 Former resident of Concord Scott Paul Sievers, known affectionately as "Scotty," died suddenly December 31, 2006 in West Palm Beach Florida. May his beloved soul rest now and forever in the peace of Christ. Scott, born September 7, 1968 in St. Albans, New York, was the youngest of five children born to Kathryn "Kate" Doyle Sievers of Rio Vista and Donald E. Sievers of Bethesda, Maryland. He graduated in 1986 from Mt. Diablo High School in Concord, where he was on the wrestling team and also engaged in local area karate competitions. Following high school he served briefly in the U.S. Coast Guard. Scott was a highly skilled vehicle rescue and tow operator and worked for several major tow companies throughout his career, owning his own tow companies for a time in Concord and later Stockton. Scott's presence "filled a room" and he had many, many friends from all walks of life. He enjoyed everyday life immensely and had a vibrant, joyful, resilient nature, always ready and very happy to lend a helping hand. His enthusiastic support of the Washington Redskins was legendary. His young son, Scott Sievers Jr., was his greatest pride and joy, whom he loved beyond measure. Preceded in death by his older brother, Marc, in 2004, Scott is survived and will be sadly missed by his beloved son, "Little Scotty"; his loving mother, father, and three sisters, Taryn Sievers Chow, Karra Sievers Barber, Farrell Sievers Pappas; three nephews and two nieces; and many extended family members. Friends and family are invited to the Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., Monday, January 8th, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2039 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Walnut Creek, CA. Burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1965 Reliez Valley Rd., Lafayette, CA. Oak Park Hills Chapel (925) 934-6500

Talk about strange. Scott's death notice was brought to my attention because a friend thought it was my son, Scott. He was also born on September 7, 1968. He is an Assistant Attorney General in Springfield, IL. I now have a special place in my heart and prayers for YOUR Scott.

I lost track of Scott in around 1999 or 2000. He was a funny guy who would do anything for a laugh.I didn't know he had a little guy of his own. I was shocked to see his name in the obits! What can I say! I shared some good times with him and am sorry to hear that he is gone. I hope the family remembers all the good times and that his son is told all of the stories about his dad. I'll miss him!

My deepest sympathies to the Siever family. I went to school with Scott's sister Farrell and she was a good friend. I can only imagine the pain in your hearts. There are no words, only prayers for your extreme pain to lessen with time and memories forever.

I was saddened to hear of Scott's passing. I am equally saddened to hear of the loss of Marc. I went to school with both of them at Glenbrook and Mt. Diablo High. My heart goes out to the family as a mother who also lost a son (21 years old) last year. I can not imagine enduring this twice, but I pray for you and hope that you will allow God's love to comfort you as only He can. With prayers for peace and healing until you are all reunited again.
