Jacquelyn Pinto Obituary

PINTO Jacqueline Bertha Boerum Pinto, age 74, a lifelong Bridgeport resident died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, in Bridgeport hospital. She was the beloved wife of Fortunato A. Pinto. A graduate of Booth and Bayliss Business School, Mrs. Pinto was a retired secretary and bookkeeper employed by Tomlinson and Hawley and General Electric in the 1940s and 1950s. She was also a crossing guard at Nathan Hale School in the 1970s and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over forty years. Survivors in addition to her husband include her loving children, David F. Pinto and his wife Marilyn of Longmeadow, MA and Leah S. Taylor of Trumbull, grandchildren, Jillian and Gregory Taylor and Melinda Pinto, sister, Frances Boerum Elizeus of Bridgeport, brother-in-law Anthony Pinto and his wife Joyce of Stratford, sister-in-law, Sister Philomena Pinto of New Haven and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Wallace D. Taylor and brother-in-law Paul Elizeus. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. direct to the Trumbull Church of Christ, 2 Drew Circle, Trumbull. Interment will be private. Friends may call Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. in the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main St. and Gorham Pl. Trumbull, In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make contributions in her memory to Alpha-1 Foundation, 2937 SW 27th Ave. Suite 302, Miami, Florida 33133 or online at www.alphaone.org.
