I was so sorry to hear of the loss of Charlie, we worked together for so many years at DCASR. Yes he did LOVE his Cubs and bowling. We had tons of fun at work and when we would have parties. He was a good friend and I was glad to see him and talk to him at the retirement. A great loss to a lot of people who knew Charlie

Our prayers go out to Charlie's family. I never saw Charlie without a smile. He blessed everyone he encountered.

I remember being the new girl in school, March 1960, after my father's transfer from Omaha. Charlie's friendliness and warm smile made the 4th grade not such a scary place. Whenever I would pass him in the hallway, even through high school, I knew I was smiling at a friend. A gentle soul has left us all. My condolences to your family.

My prayers are with the family and friends. Living in Georgia makes it hard when friends pass on.

Dear Charle's Family,
Charles was always such a gentle, nice person. I went to school with him throughout elementary and high school. In recent years, I learned that he would occasionally stop by my Dad's house (where we grew up) and chat with Dad, and inquire about Vicki and me. I was fortunate to have been there during one of his visits. He told me his health wasn't very good, but was very positive about his life and everyone in his life. I am sorry I was out of town for the visitation. I will always remember Charles, and so appreciated his occasional visits to my Dad - who passed away a year and a half ago. Please accept my condolences.
My sister, Vicki, also passes on her thoughts and prayers to your family.
Very sincerely,
Judi Selman Zawojewski

I saw Charlie at our 35th Class reunion. He remembered me as well as I remembered him. (that is more than I can say for many of our other classmates).
Charlie was a gentle soul. Whenever I spoke to him, he listened and looked at me like I was the most important person in the world. I feel that was the love of God shining through his eyes.
I know he went straight to Heaven. I am sure that Jesus was happy to see Charlie.
I am privileged to have known you, Charlie. We'll see you on the other side.

Charles was in my classes through most of grade school and high school. He was always a friend to me in school and never had an unkind word for anyone. I am sure he will be missed. I am so sorry for your loss. He and you all will be in my prayers.

Charles was one of the friendliest people I knew. As a high school classmate he was always cheerful and warm to everone.

I have such fond memories of Charlie. He was always such a sweet kid. He wrote to me about a year ago, and I think his kindness never left him as a man. Mrs. Abboreno, Frank and Sandy, please know I'll keep you and Charles in my thoughts.
