Geneva Disney Obituary

HAMPTON - Geneva "Jackie" Disney, 76, a native of Bertha, W.Va., and resident of Hampton for 57 years, went to be with the Lord Thursday morning Aug. 14, 2008.
Jackie was a devoted Christian, spreading God's word as a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was a caring lady and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Jackie is survived by her husband of 17 years, William Disney; her son, Paul Wood; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; five stepchildren; and 11 step-grandchildren; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
Friends are encouraged to visit www.mem.com to share words of comfort with the family.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a love offering be made to Victory Baptist Church, 445 Shelton Road, Hampton, VA 23663.

This message is for Paul Wood. My husband saw your mom's obituary on-line in the Beckley paper..Just want to let you know I am sorry to hear of her passing and that you have been in my thoughts and prayers.  (I also saw you are a grandpa....you must be older than me; I am not a grandma.)
