William Dunkle Obituary
He was born in Johnstown, Pa., Feb. 12, 1923, son of the late Clair C. and Helen Ankeny Dunkle. Bill was a pilot in WWII, attended Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pa., and was recalled to active duty in October 1951. He was a career reserve officer in the U.S. Air Force until his retirement in 1970. Mr. Dunkle is survived by his wife, Jobie; son, Steve; daughter, Barbara; and four grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers, Dick in Johnstown, Pa., and Bob in N. Canton, Ohio. A sister, Jean, preceded him in death.
A gathering of remembrance to celebrate Bill's life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Aug. 24, at the family home on Spring Road in Williamsburg.
